Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. For the joy that was set before him he endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

Jesus Christ is our author, our teacher, our example, and our Savior. He is our example to follow in all things. We can learn so much from Him as we look at His life and what He did for us on this earth. We can learn how to love others by looking at how He loves us in His life and death on Calvary.

Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith.

Hebrews 12:2

For the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus suffered for us on the cross, not just physically but emotionally as well. He suffered because we did not believe in Him enough to accept His sacrifice for our sins. We are to trust in Him and endure with joy until He returns and takes us home to heaven.

Jesus Christ is the author and the finisher of your faith. He is the one who gives you the strength to persevere in your walk with God, even when it is difficult.

Jesus’ suffering on the cross was not a waste or a waste of time. His death on the cross was necessary for our salvation, so that we could live eternally with Him in heaven. The cross was not just a means to an end for Jesus – it was also an end in itself.
